Junk mail doesn’t have to be just that—turn them into something creative and beautiful, and then spread the love by affixing them to every single handmade gift you give this year!
Select magazine pages with colors you love. Keep an eye on both sides of the page for double the visual impact.
Cut pages into strips. Different width strips with create different style bows. I cut my strips at 9/16” for these bows
Turn one end of the strip to the center. Bring the other end of the strip to the center. Keep the face sides up, as this creates the “petal” of the bow.
Punch a hole with a large tapestry needle into the three layers that are here in the middle of the strip—through the top end, lower end stacked on the middle of the strip itself. Insert a clasp.
Repeat for 6 layers.
Open clasp to secure all layers together.
Repeat until you run out of magazine pages!
