I was given a package of lovely fabrics. A special "welcome to the neighborhood" gift. I knew I'd use them to make something special. Something memory worthy. Something lasting and unique. I tucked the gift in a drawer while I waited for the perfect idea.
And then I pulled it out. I made a gift for my sister. I made a fabric postcard for someone else. I made this dress for a Pickle. She runs around and gets dirty in it and drops berry stains on it. And goodness knows, will outgrow it amazingly soon.
I've now worked my way though half of the stack of lovingly curated fabric cuts. Did I save my prize gift for something special?
I did.
It's called "this moment."
Always be creative,
Marie Winfield
